Charleston, S.C., June 1, 2017 – Relish Restaurant Group recently announced the promotion of Amanee Neirouz to executive chef of Tristan Catering & Events. Neirouz was previously the head of the pastry department, which sources pastries and baked goods for all Relish entities, including Tristan Catering, The Original Ms. Rose’s Fine Food & Cocktails and 492. Neirouz will continue leading the pastry department while assuming additional responsibilities for Tristan, including overseeing catering functions, managing teams, streamlining operations and handling administrative duties. Her first task will be to completely overhaul the Tristan menu.
Neirouz grew up outside of Cincinnati, OH and studied at the Pennsylvania Institute of Culinary Arts in Pittsburgh, PA. She came to Charleston in 2005 where her first job was a butcher at the Sanctuary on Kiawah Island. She has been with Relish since 2008 and has become an integral part of the restaurant group’s family.
As the only female head chef at Relish Restaurant Group, Neirouz will also be heavily involved in the first annual FAB conference, which Relish is a sponsor. FAB is a two-day educational conference hosted by women in the food industry, for women in the food industry, and will be held in Charleston June 11–13, 2017. In addition to serving her breakfast breads on the first morning of the conference, Neirouz will also be hosting a special dinner for conference speaker Jen Hidinger at 492 on June 13.
When not at work, Neirouz enjoys gardening and spending time with her two rescue dogs, although not in that order.
