Barnwell Whaley Charleston Special Counsel Jay Jones has been appointed to the SC Bar Torts & Insurance Practice Section Council

Barnwell Whaley Special Counsel Jay Jones has been appointed as a general council member of the South Carolina Bar Torts & Insurance Practice Section Council (TIPS) for a three –year term. His Council service began July 1, 2017. The TIPS Council monitors legislation related to torts and insurance practices, particularly in the areas of products liability, workers' compensation, wrongful death and survivor actions, automobile law, insurance law and medical and legal malpractice and damages. In addition, the TIPS cosponsors a reception for new judges, and provides a continuing legal education seminar at the annual South Carolina Bar convention on these topics for the legal community.
