Celebrate the Sporting Life with Hook + Gaff Watch Company at SEWE 2019
The South Carolina-based company will raffle off a King Tide watch at the third annual Lowcountry Social
LEXINGTON, S.C., Feb. 11, 2019 — Hook + Gaff Watch Company, the South Carolina-based company that’s redefining rugged versatility, will showcase its newly crafted King Tide watch at the 39th Annual Southeastern Wildlife Exposition (SEWE) in Charleston, South Carolina. From February 15th through February 17th, Hook + Gaff will have booth’s set up at the Gaillard Center and at the new Marine Village at Brittlebank Park for all attendees to enjoy a timeless experience.
Hook + Gaff Watch Company is participating in the Lowcountry Social at Brittlebank Park from 7:30 – 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 16th, where they are giving away the most recent addition to its watch line, the King Tide (valued at $750). Attendees will enjoy an evening of barbecue from world-renowned pit masters, bluegrass music by the fire with the Bluestone Ramblers, and an open bar under the stars. But if you don’t attend that event, you can always check out Hook + Gaff watches at the Gaillard Center and at the Marine Village at Brittlebank Park, where there will be plenty of entertaining wildlife shows and demos to go along throughout the three-day weekend.
Designed specifically for the coastal angler, the King Tide watch is unlike digital tide watches with limited pre-programmed locations. Hook + Gaff’s analog tide function allows you to set the indicator to the tide cycle in your location, anywhere around the world! The King Tide also utilizes H3 technology, like the Sportfisher Black. This watch uses trigalight® glass tubes manufactured by mb-microtec in Switzerland (and has the dial marking to prove it). It’s a sophisticated technology that creates 24-hour illumination of the dial’s hour markers and hands – perfect for the angler who rises before the sun and who doesn’t stop after it goes down. This durable sport watch is not only a necessity for the inshore angler, but a classic piece suited for any occasion.
Features at a glance:
• Analog tide function allows you to set the indicator to the tide cycle in your location
• Custom 41mm titanium screw-down case
• Anti-reflective, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal
• Hour markers and hands utilize tritium tubes, 24-hour perpetual glow mb-microtec technology
• Water-tight to 200m/660 ft.
• ISA quartz movement
• Left-side crown orientation for supreme comfort in an active lifestyle

About Hook + Gaff
Hook + Gaff Watch Company was founded out of necessity. Founder Michael Sims searched for a watch that could withstand the rigors of days spent fishing on the open water yet be stylish enough for a night out and everything in between.
When Michael’s search came up empty handed, he created Hook + Gaff Watch Company, partnered with designer and longtime friend Gash Clayton, and launched the watch brand that’s defining rugged versatility. Hook + Gaff creates watches that are sturdy enough in the field and on the water while maintaining a classic look. Hand- assembled by expert watchmakers in the Carolinas, each Hook + Gaff timepiece is meticulously manufactured to be reliable in the most adverse conditions. Hook + Gaff watches are made with a unique left side crown placement, functional and comfortable for the active wearer, along with scratch-resistant sapphire glass and lightweight titanium—a perfect combination of versatility and toughness.
