Charleston-Based Healthcare Startup Snapp Awarded Alongside Slack, Cisco, and Other Tech Giants

Charleston, SC: November 13, 2017: Snapp, a Charleston-based healthcare startup, has been named one of the 2017 20 Most Promising Collaboration Technology Solution Providers by CIO Review. The publication recognized Snapp alongside tech giants Slack, Cisco, and ZOHO CRM.

Through its easy-to-use mobile app, Snapp offers physicians and advanced practice providers access to secure messaging, intuitive workflow management, and compliant documentation and billing. These built-in tools significantly improve collaboration, communication, and revenue for medical clinics and hospitals. In short, Snapp saves medical staff time and money by making their practice more efficient.

The company was founded in 2016 by Dr. Bart Sachs and Matt Weismiller. After decades in the healthcare industry, the two were frustrated that no existing health-tech solutions addressed the issue of team collaboration and workflow management in an intuitive way. Snapp’s easy-to-use web interface and mobile applications do just that.

The CIO Review recognition is a considerable step for Snapp as the company looks to expand its national footprint following successful interactions with several Southeastern healthcare organizations.

“We’ve been very excited by the overwhelmingly positive feedback from our early provider partners” says Founder & CEO Matt Weismiller. “As we plan our growth, the return on investment data we gather from our early clients - along with this recognition - will provide the credibility our company needs to allow us to expand geographically and into larger healthcare systems.”

Each year, CIO Review gathers a distinguished panel of prominent CEOs, CIOs, VCs, and analysts along with the CIO Review editorial board. This panel assesses hundreds of collaboration technology solution providers and creates a shortlist of twenty that are at the forefront of cutting edge technology solutions. Past winners include Wrike, Atlassian, and Box.

Other early milestones include a $200K investment from SCRA’s SC Launch Program. Snapp is also one of three finalists at the Charleston Angel Conference on November 15.

Says Weismiller, “We've been fortunate to have great partners; the Medical University of South Carolina, SC Launch, and Launchpeer have been key to our progress thus far. We look forward to continued progress and partnerships following this CIO Review award.”
