Charleston Polo Classic to Benefit the Children of Navy SEALs

Charleston, SC- April 18, 2015-  Multiple foreign threats are leading to repeated deployments for special operations forces and that takes a heavy toll on our SEALS, their families and especially their children. This Saturday and Sunday Charleston is hosting a weekend devoted to supporting Navy SEAL kids through NSWKids.org- it's a way to say thank you in person to some of those risking their lives overseas for Americans. NSWKids.org is dedicated to taking care of their children back home so the operators can focus on their mission.

Events begin Saturday April 18th with a Black Tie Gala in historic downtown Charleston.  Special entertainment and speakers will tell you more about the mission and introduce you to some honored guests, including Tommy Norris, Navy SEAL and Medal of Honor recipient and Jared Ogden, Navy SEAL and host of National Geographic's Ultimate Survival series.  It will be an evening of Mission, Message, Music and Fun.

Sunday April 19 brings the Charleston Polo Classic Match at Longwood Plantation in Huger, SC. The day will feature an exciting match with players from across the southeast and,  not to be out-matched, there will be some astounding demonstrations by former SEALs. General admission tickets are $25/person. Gates open 1130, food and beverages available for purchase. Game starts 2pm.

For more information, please visit: CharlestonPoloClassic.com.

Interview availabilities may be arranged with our special speakers and former SEALs in attendance.

About the Charity

NSWKids was founded by children. On August 6, 2011 a military helicopter carrying 33 Americans, 22 of whom were from Naval Special Warfare, was shot down in Afghanistan. All lives were lost... two children began a movement to remember and honor the fallen.

These warrior's give us their best... we say thank you by giving the very best to their children. We are honored to provide a child with whatever they need to succeed. If a family needs it or a child can dream it we are there to help. Here are just some of what we have provided for; educational testing, learning disability testing, educational tutoring, vision therapy, music therapy, cognitive brain training, educational advocates, autism services, dyslexia services, service dogs, equine therapy, and anxiety and resilience training.

"Reducing an operator's stress at home is the key to improving his combat effectiveness. NSWKids is the go-to team for those hard to solve educational issues." -RADM Scott Moore and Mrs. Molly Moore (Former SEAL Commander DEVGRU and Family Advocate)
