Charleston Wine + Food Fringe Events with Holy City Hospitality

February 9, 2018 - CHARLESTON, SC – Holy City Hospitality is excited to announce two fringe events taking place during Charleston Wine + Food. Both events will take place on Thursday, March 1, 2018 and are sure to deliver the ultimate culinary and educational wine experience. Vincent Chicco’s will host a wine tasting at 2:00pm and 39 Rue de Jean will host a 5 course dinner with Saintsbury wine pairings at 6:00pm.

1) Undiscovered Italy at Vincent Chicco’s

Educational wine tasting

Thursday, March 1

2:00pm – 3:30pm

$38 per person inclusive of tax and gratuity*

Hosted by Vincent Chicco’s, Undiscovered Italy will be a drop-in, educational wine tasting and open discussion focused on six little-known Italian wine varietals. Accompanied by cheese and charcuterie appetizers, the wine tastings will include one sparkling, three white, and two red varietals. Alessandro Guarino, CEO and President of Impero Wines, and Andres Contreras, Charleston City Paper’s Best Sommelier, will be onsite to lead the open discussion, answer questions, and educate guests on the event’s unique wines of Italy. Hosted by 39 Rue de Jean, this dinner will feature five courses paired perfectly with select Saintsbury wines. Each course on the menu will be curated by Chef Justin Rambo-Garwood with wine pairings by Andres Contreras. Philippa Ward will be our evening's guest.
