Charleston, SC – Clawson and Staubes, LLC, a full-service law firm based in Charleston with offices in Columbia, Greenville and Charlotte, is proud to announce three new members to the firm ─ Penn Ely, Kelli Sullivan and Doug Thie.

Penn Ely, based out of the Charleston office, graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 2009 and magna cum laude from the Charleston School of Law in 2012. He joined Clawson and Staubes in 2014, practicing with the litigation team. He has been recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine as a “Rising Star,” which honors no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in South Carolina.

Kelli Sullivan, based out of the Columbia office, graduated cum laude from the University of South Carolina in 1992 with a bachelor degree in political science. She then attended USC School of Law and graduated with a juris doctorate in 1996. Kelli has been a litigator for more than 15 years and is a certified civil mediator. Her experience as a plaintiff’s attorney, in-house counsel and defense attorney make her an all-star member of Clawson and Staubes.

Doug Thie, based out of the Charlotte office, practices immigration law. Doug attended Wofford College for his undergraduate degree and graduated magna cum laude. He then attended the University of North Carolina School of Law and graduated with honors. Doug is fluent in Spanish and serves on the American Immigration Lawyers Association Carolinas Chapter executive committee and the Charlotte Bilingual Preschool board of directors. Doug has also been recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine as a “Rising Star.”
