East Cooper Medical Center Welcomes Patrick Beaver as Chief Nursing Officer

June 28, 2017 – East Cooper Medical Center appoints Patrick Beaver, RN, MSN, MBA, as the hospital’s chief nursing officer.  In his new role, Patrick will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of East Cooper Medical Center’s nursing departments. He will ensure that high quality patient care is consistently maintained.

Beaver comes to East Cooper from North Shore Medical Center in Miami, FL.  While at North Shore, he notably improved physician relationships with administration.  The hospital placed in the top 5 for improvement in patient experience within its parent company ranks, Tenet Healthcare.  He also oversaw the implementation of a robotic surgical program.

Prior to joining North Shore Medical Center, Beaver served as the chief operating officer, chief nursing officer and vice-president of patient care services at East Liverpool City Hospital in Ohio.

Beaver attended Fairmont State University and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in English and received his Master of Science in nursing degree from Florida Atlantic University. In 2010 he completed his Master of Business Administration in Healthcare from Waynesburg University. He is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
