Folly Beach, SC – The 10th Annual Folly Gras Parade & Block Party – Folly's annual take on Mardi Gras – is set for Saturday, February 17. This year's event will feature dozens of arts, crafts and fashion vendors, live music, free kids’ activities, and, of course, lots of delicious food and drink.
Arnold Gottlieb's Very Ticklish Orchestra will lead the traditional Folly Gras parade down Center Street starting at 11 am. Guests are encouraged to wear festive costumes and bring their beads to spread the cheer. Advanced registration is required to participate in the parade.
Festivities will continue on Center Street with live music across three stages by Soulfish, the Secrets, Eddie Bush, and The Endorphin Machine, a Prince tribute, starting at 12 pm.
A dedicated kids area will feature street performers, glittery body art, mardi-gras inspired arts and crafts, king cake musical chairs, inflatables and more.
Folly’s participating restaurants and bars will be whipping up New Orleans inspired dishes and serving $5 Deep Eddy cocktails all day.
Tickets for Folly Gras are $5 in advance and $10 at the door. Admission is free for full-time Folly Beach residents that have a valid ID, as well as kids 12 and under. Advanced tickets can be purchased online at VisitFolly.com or at Folly Beach City Hall. For the safety of all event participants, animals, coolers, bicycles, skateboards, scooters and similar items are not permitted.
