Mr. Novak is an experienced litigator and mediator whose clients include businesses and professionals including architects, engineers, lawyers, and healthcare professionals, as well as developers, general contractors, manufacturers, restaurants, retail establishments, and self-service storage facilities.
Mr. Novak focuses his law practice in the areas of complex litigation, professional liability defense, construction law, premises liability, self-service storage facility law, and appellate matters. In addition, he is certified as a mediator by the South Carolina Supreme Court Arbitrator and Mediator Certification Board.

Mr. Novak earned his Juris Doctor at the University of South Carolina School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts in Commerce from Washington and Lee University. He holds a Martindale-Hubbell Preeminent rating, (the highest, formerly referred to as AV), and serves as an adjunct professor at the Charleston School of Law, teaching Legal Research, Analysis and Writing.
