Local Palate Magazine Presents ‘Toast to Spoleto’

Charleston, SC – April 15, 2015 – The Local Palate magazine presents “Toast to Spoleto” in Charleston, SC on Wednesday evening, May 27th, 2015. This event blends Southern charm with Italian culture—all while celebrating Spoleto Festival USA and the cuisine of Spoleto, Italy.  The evening will include dishes from five renowned chefs as well as the chance to mix and mingle with the cast of Italian opera Veremonda, L’Amazzone Di Aragona and Spoleto General Director Nigel Redden.

Chef Giovanna Tarli Tomassoni of Spoleto, Italy, along with James Beard nominated chefs Michael Toscano formally of Perla in NYC, Andrew Ticer and Michael Hudman of Andrew Michael Italian Kitchen in Memphis, and Ken Vedrinski of Trattoria Lucca and Coda del Pesce in Charleston will prepare an Italian culinary experience like no other. The chefs will be preparing small plates of dishes inspired by Umbria, to go with wine pairings from the same region.
