MT. PLEASANT, S.C., November 1, 2018 — Pleasant Speakers, a local area club of Toastmasters International, announces that two of its members, Richard Hanf and Craig Van Sickle, have received Competent Leadership certification from Toastmasters International.
The Competent Leadership program involves completion of 10 projects, ranging from team building and mentoring to planning and implementation.
“Through the process of earning Competent Leadership certification, Rich and Craig have advanced their professional and interpersonal skills, including listening, delegating, motivating, and facilitating,” said Kathy Honan, vice president of education for Pleasant Speakers. “The multi-step projects build in complexity as a member moves through the program. The club supports members with expertise and advice as well as a deep library of Toastmasters International resources.”
Toastmasters International’s newest educational program, Pathways, combines proven projects from the Competent Leadership and Competent Communicator certifications, while adding modern, digital components.
Pleasant Speakers Toastmasters Club #7783 invites guests to attend meetings, which are open to the public. Meetings are 6:00 p.m.-7:15 p.m. on the second and fourth Mondays, every month, at Heritage Trust Federal Credit Union, 847 Coleman Blvd., Second Floor, Mt. Pleasant.
