Louie’s Kids “Little Chef/Big Chef” Inspires Participants to Think Healthy

Aidan and his mother, Yvonne

Louie’s Kids is hosting its 12th annual Little Chef/Big Chef event on June 24th, 2019 from 7pm-10pm at Halls Signature Events in historic downtown Charleston. By pairing local young men and women with professional chefs from Charleston’s most celebrated kitchens, the participants learn the importance of eating healthy and learn the necessary skills to prepare and serve tasty, nutritious food.

All proceeds from the event go towards Louie’s Kids to help prevent and treat childhood obesity, and promote healthy, productive lifestyles. One of this year’s participants, Aidan, is poised to make a rare second appearance at the event that helped motivate him and his family to collectively lose over 150 pounds!

Since last year’s event, Aidan has maintained a focus on improving his and his families’ health while simultaneously assisting happily and eagerly at dozens of local food service events, even participating in the 2019 Charleston Wine + Food Festival. Aidan has sharpened his culinary skills thanks to the help of guidance of his mentoring chefs at Hall’s Chophouse, and is ready to stand out amongst his competitors with a strong performance on his return to the #LittleChefBigChef stage June 24th.

The overriding goal of “Little Chef/Big Chef” is to impart participants with the knowledge they need to make healthy choices in their everyday life. Louie’s Kids have impacted lives for nearly twenty years, and this event certainly won’t be an exception. Make sure to purchase your tickets today by calling (843) 724-3808. Attendance is limited to 80 guests and tickets are moving fast. For more information visit LouiesKids.org. We can’t wait to see you there!
