Mixson Community Grand Opening Receives Enthusiastic Market Response

High interest shown in new homes, social community, grand opening incentive

(October 17, 2017) – Hundreds of home seekers turned out last weekend for the Mixson neighborhood’s grand “re-opening” celebration, a three-day event that brought high interest in the community’s model, spec and in-process homes.

Purchased last spring by the award-winning FrontDoor Communities, Mixson has thrown the doors open on numerous Lowcountry-style homes complete with generous porches and gorgeous interior detailing. Prices start in the $300,000s. Today, Mixson boasts five move-in ready homes, and others to be ready before the end of the year.

Contracts signed during the grand opening period that runs through November 30, 2017 will also yield a collection of benefits valued at $15,000, which includes paid Club initiation fees and one year paid membership dues and discounts on design and closing costs.

Community representatives expressed optimism about the future: “We had hundreds of very motivated buyers out here last weekend,” said Mark Lipsmeyer, Division President of FrontDoor Communities. “Their excitement about this neighborhood was palpable. People were asking for contract paperwork before they left the events, and that’s always a good sign.”
