"I am extremely excited to lead the expansion of the prestigious Jon Kohler & Associates brand into South Carolina and offer a new level of real estate advisory services to landowners in our state," said Brown. "This is a lifelong dream of mine. I am dedicated to creating lasting relationships and providing quality service."

CJ earned his undergraduate degree and MBA from Gardner-Webb University while playing on the offensive line on two Big South Championship Football teams. He met his wife Megan while at the university and they have one son, Carl James Brown, III. Family is of top importance in the Brown household, as well as passing on the traditions of the outdoor lifestyle and conservation. CJ and his father Carl are longtime members of the prestigious Cowden Plantation in Aiken, South Carolina.

The history and high intrinsic value of the South Low Country, ACE, and CAWS Plantation Belts, as well as the Peedee Plantation belt further north, make these some of the most unique plantations in the entire south. Of the four main plantation belts, South Carolina’s were the only ones that Jon Kohler & Associates didn’t cover.

“We have been specializing in plantation sales for 25 years,” said Jon Kohler. “We are known for our passion for protecting the intrinsic value on these unique properties and creating value for all landowners.  We are well-respected by conservation groups and landowners alike for commitment to the land, wildlife, and conservation.

“Our business model is unlike anything in the real estate business and we are driven by our servant’s heart approach to helping landowners and land buyers to the right thing for the land,” added Kohler. “Over the past eight years, we have dominated the sales of the other three belts (The Red Hills of Tallahassee/Thomasville, Albany, and Alabama) closing a record setting $395,000,000 during that time.  Our trademark is love and knowledge of fine land and the ability to help high net worth individuals recognize value through a very inclusive marketing process.”
