Navy League Charleston’s November luncheon features USCG Captain Mark Fedor

Navy League Charleston is pleased to announce our Guest Speaker for November’s monthly luncheon, next Tuesday, November 7th will be Captain Mark Fedor, USCG and Commanding Officer of Coast Guard Cutter James (WMSL 754). One of the initial two National Security Cutters (NSCs) to be homeported here in the LowCountry, Cutter James and her crew have recently returned from deployment during which a day’s tasking at sea might include counterdrug ops, anti-piracy ops, maritime interdiction ops. Of recent note, USCGC James served as a C2 (Command & Control) platform as part of the overall Hurricane Marie Response Operations in Puerto Rico. We’ve asked Mark to expound and expand on much of the above and more as he takes us onboard James (virtually speaking, of course) and shares stories from James’ recent cruise.
