New Leaf Builders set to begin construction of new Johns Island office

new leafJames Island, SC –  New Leaf Builders is pleased to announce that in the not-so-distant future, it will be getting its own home in the form of a new office space. The new office space, known as Tupelo Bend, will be located off of Maybank Highway on Johns Island. The current offices of New Leaf Builders are located on James Island off of Wappoo Creek Drive.

“We see Johns Island as a great place for future growth,” says Grant Zinkon, co-owner of New Leaf Builders. “This location makes sense for our new office because a majority of our presence will be on Johns Island in the coming years.”

“We have been very fortunate to grow with great employees,” says Zinkon.  The new office space will offer flexibility and room for the growing New Leaf Builders team and a great atmosphere for employees and customers to enjoy. New Leaf plans to incorporate many of the items and ideas they use in their house plans into the office space for customers to experience in person.

New Leaf Builders has started to clear the land and construction is expected to begin in early Fall 2015. Like New Leaf’s well-known Fox Hollow community, the new office space will be a low-impact development using environmentally friendly techniques to create a site that works with the existing land. The space will be complete with bio retention areas and full rainwater harvesting for irrigation. “The land has been left as natural as possible, clearing enough land only for the roadway and office buildings,” says Adam Baslow, co-owner of New Leaf Builders.

The new office park development is named Tupelo Bend after the numerous black gum trees on the property that have been integrated into the land design plan.  According to Baslow, the new office land will also have residents other than New Leaf Builders; thousands of honey bees from The Bee Cause Project will make a new home at Tupelo Bend, acting as natural pollinators for the future landscaping.
