Tencarva Machinery Company LLC opened a new branch office in El Dorado, Ark., recently with Micah McCall, sales engineer handling the sales territory in the South Arkansas market and reporting to David McDougald, branch manager, Little Rock Branch Office.
Tencarva currently also has branch offices in Charleston, Columbia and Greenville, S. C.
Don Wirth, vice president in the Nashville Branch Office, explains, "This startup in South Arkansas began with ITT Goulds Pumps looking for new distribution in the area. A business plan to open an office in the region was approved by the Tencarva management team and submitted to ITT Goulds pumps for consideration. Upon approval by ITT Goulds, Tencarva's Arkansas sales region was extended to include these additional southern counties."
In addition, through this El Dorado Branch Office, Tencarva will be distributing their traditional lines, including Gorman–Rupp, SEEPEX, John Crane, Delta Cooling Towers, INPRO Bearing Isolators and Seal Ryt Bearing Systems. The new territory for Tencarva encompasses these Arkansas counties: Ashley, Chicot, Columbia, Lafayette, Miller and Union.
Located on 2.9 acres at 1070 Hinson Road, the 9,000 square-foot leased building includes 2,500 square feet of office space, with the remainder in warehouse. To better fit the needs of Tencarva's distribution business, the facility was completed renovated.
Helpful in bringing this office online were David McDougald, branch manager in Little Rock, Ark.; Bob Hawkins, IT systems manager in Greensboro, N. C.; Rick Graves, senior sales support specialist in Little Rock; Gloria Rowe, sales support specialist trainer in Greenville, N. C.; Michael Bell, special projects manager in Greensboro; and McCall.
Wirth points out, "Today, we are really pleased with the building, as the size gives us plenty of room to expand to meet the needs of the significant chemical industries we are now serving in the South Arkansas market."
Wirth continues, "The office area has a front reception/foyer area that accommodates our newly hired sales support specialist, Seth Birkeland. There are a total of seven offices, a kitchen area, and a large room toward the rear of the office area that could be converted to a conference/customer training room that feeds directly into the warehouse."
During the renovation process, the office areas were refreshed with new paint; carpeting was replaced in the office areas; and the remaining tiled areas were stripped, cleaned and re-waxed. The warehouse area also was thoroughly cleaned from top to bottom.
Looking at the capabilities in this office, Wirth explains, "The office, at this time, is strictly focused on sales. We will be adding specific inventory to meet the requirements for the new existing and potential customers in this marketplace."
Wirth emphasizes, "Tencarva is committed to the region, very pleased ITT Goulds Pumps selected us to represent them, and significantly proud of Micah McCall who understands the significance of the opportunity, has seized it, and is making a terrific go at growing our business in this South Arkansas territory!"
