North Charleston, SC – Alala, LLC will be opening its doors for the first time on September 30 th . The public is invited to celebrate the occasion and support the expansion of Alala in the Low Country. The event will take place from 10 AM to 2 PM at 9231 Medical Plaza Drive, Suite D, North Charleston, SC 29406.
“After 10 years of traveling to Charleston, SC to serve our breast cancer warriors, my team and I are excited to finally call Charleston our home,” said Sherry Norris, Alala’s CEO. “We look forward to helping more cancer warriors normalize their appearance and remove the stigma of treatment, so they can get back to feeling and looking like themselves.”
"Alala" (pronounced a-lay-la) is the female personification of the war cry in Greek mythology. Sherry Norris and her team believe that when women support women and yell out a collective battle cry, they can overcome any obstacle standing in their way.
Since 2006, Alala, LLC has offered an oasis of hope where women can find a safe space to be vulnerable and supported. They offer custom fittings by board-certified mastectomy fitters for breast prosthesis, bras, and lymphedema supplies.
Post-surgical treatment is evolving, and women are looking for new ways to manage the trauma and change that comes with a cancer diagnosis. What happens outside the body can make a big difference in what happens inside it, and that’s where Alala steps in.
