CHARLESTON, S.C., January 03, 2022 — Attorneys Elizabeth “Beth” Palmer and Jacqueline Egan have joined the Charleston, South Carolina office of Saxton & Stump, practicing under the name Spitz & Neville. Palmer serves business, individuals and public sector clients in employment law, commercial litigation, real estate, and trusts and estates. Egan brings more than a decade of experience in practice after having graduated top of her 2008 law school class. The additions signal the growth of Spitz & Neville since they announced joining Saxton & Stump last year.

Palmer is an equity shareholder for Saxton & Stump and focuses her practice on both public and private sector clients, handling employment and education matters, real estate, and business litigation. Prior to joining the firm, she was a partner at Charleston, S.C. based law firm Rosen Hagood. Throughout her career, she has served businesses and institutions, partnering with them on operational issues such as risk management, contracts and employment matters. She also handles trust and estate litigation, providing counsel for estate representatives, fiduciaries, beneficiaries and heirs. An active member of the American Bar Association (ABA), Palmer played an instrumental role in creating the ABA’s Bullyproof, a national anti-bullying initiative for schools. She earned her B.A. in Political Science and Government from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law.

Egan is senior counsel for Saxton & Stump and has over a decade of experience writing persuasive arguments and conducting legal research for number of law firms in Charleston, South Carolina, including Stevens & Lee. She regularly handles complex legal research for real estate and commercial litigation and directly supports the firm’s clients by drafting pleadings and responses. Earlier in her career she was also an associate at a Charleston-based personal injury firm. She has known attorney Steven Spitz since law school, serving as a research assistant, supporting Spitz to prepare for professional presentations and casework, as well as his real estate transactions textbook. Egan earned her J.D. from The Charleston School of Law, where she graduated at the top of her class. She has a B.S. in Psychology from The College of Charleston with a minor in Spanish.

Palmer and Egan are the latest in 12 months of significant strategic expansion of resources for Spitz & Neville clients. In June, attorneys Stephen Spitz and Irish “Ryan” Neville joined Saxton & Stump, a move that gave clients access to a broader range of legal and consulting services.
