(Berkeley County, SC) – Berkeley Career Express Chrome Books will be presented to four Rural Communities on Tuesday, November 12th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen Elementary School.
Berkeley Career Express (BCE), a program designed to help prepare individuals for the workforce or pursue further education was funded by a grant from Google and Berkeley County Delegation. The program was a partnership with the Berkeley Chamber of Commerce, the Berkeley County School District’s Department of Adult and Community Education and the Friends of the Berkeley County Library System. Guest speakers will be Lilyn Hester, Head of External Affairs – Southeast for Google and Senator Paul Campbell.
The four communities to receive the Chromebooks are St. Stephen, Cross, Alvin and Long Ridge. The public is invited.
