Bert’s Big Adventure Announces Families for 2019 Trip of a Lifetime

Bert’s Big Adventure, a nonprofit organization that provides a magical, all-expenses-paid, five-day journey to Walt Disney World® for children with chronic and terminal illnesses and their families, is excited to share a BIG announcement! This February, the organization will be embarking on their 17th annual trip to Walt Disney World® and after careful consideration as well as sorting through hundreds of applications, the Bert’s Big Adventure selection committee has chosen twelve (12) children and their families to be a part of this year’s trip including a special family from the Charleston area.

“We feel so honored to welcome a new group of children and their families to the growing Bert’s Big Adventure family,” says Bert’s Big Adventure founder and host of “The Bert Show,” Bert Weiss. “We hope that this trip will be one they never forget and we are so excited to take them on this adventure.”

To qualify for Bert’s Big Adventure, a child must be between the ages of 5-12 years old and live in “The Bert Show” radio listening area, prove financial need and have never been to Walt Disney World®. To date, Bert’s Big Adventure has served more than 200 children and their families through its trip to Disney, Fairy Godparent Volunteer Program and Reunion Adventures.
