North Charleston, SC — Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lowcountry will host its fifth annual BIG Lowcountry Boil on Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 11 am until 3 pm at Holy City Brewing in North Charleston.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lowcountry believes that all youth deserve an opportunity to reach their full PROMISE and POTENTIAL. The monies raised at the BIG Lowcountry Boil will make it possible for the organization to create and support 335 one-to-one mentoring relationships between high-potential youth and caring adult mentors. With the help of their Bigs, these Littles do better in school, develop stronger relationships with peers and family, avoid risky behaviors that could get them off track, and develop greater aspirations for their future.
The BIG Lowcountry Boil will feature a traditional Lowcountry Boil with salad and dessert, Holy City Brewing beer, live music by Hollifield, axe throwing with Blade and Bull, and archery by On Purpose Adventures. Attendees will have an opportunity to do some holiday shopping at the vendor market and silent auction, which will feature vacations, dining experiences, one-of-a-kind adventures, jewelry, clothing, and more. Kids' activities include yard games, a complimentary fairy hair booth, and a bounce house.
Tickets are on sale now at www.bbbslowcountry.org/blb and cost $40 for adults and $15 for youth (7-12 years of age.) Children 0-6 years can attend for free. Each ticket includes a traditional Lowcountry shrimp boil with sides, 2 Holy City Brewing beers or non-alcoholic beverages, live music, outdoor games, family-friendly activities, and a silent auction.
