Bintelli Powersports Partners with The Lowcountry Food Bank to Feed Locals in Need
Charleston, SC – September 2020 – When Bintelli Powersports opened in West Ashley two years ago, owner Justin Jackrel knew he had to use the opportunity to give back to the community. While teaching a marketing class at RB Stall High school in 2017, Jackrel learned just how many local students live their lives in hunger. Once Jackrel completed the purchase for Bintelli Powersports’ new location, his attention shifted to ways he could give back. “I knew that something had to be done to help our local community combat hunger,” says Bintelli President, Justin Jackrel. “It was devastating for me to hear my students tell me that they don’t get fed when they aren’t in school. There’s no excuse for that! Our team reached out to the Lowcountry Food Bank and we are thrilled to be working alongside them to fight hunger. With every vehicle we sell – every golf cart, scooter, ATV, dirt bike, ATV, motorcycle, moped, low speed vehicle, go kart – we will donate a month’s worth of meals to the Lowcountry Food Bank for a local child or adult in need. This will remain in place for as long as this dealership has its lights on, because it’s the right thing to do.”
Today, Bintelli Powersports celebrates its second anniversary, and with the anniversary comes another donation to the Lowcountry Food Bank. “Today, we are pleased to present the Lowcountry Food Bank with a check to cover 71,700 meals for those in need in our local area. I can’t explain how excited our team was to hear that we’ve now donated 100,000 meals locally since opening just two years ago! This has been a trying year for many and we believe that no matter how rough things get in life, there should always be a hot meal waiting for every single person. We hope other companies will join us in supporting the Lowcountry Food Bank,” says Bintelli President, Justin Jackrel.
If anyone in the local community would like to join this cause, Bintelli Powersports also accepts donations from customers that can be made at the retail store location: 2137 Savannah Highway Charleston, SC 29414. The Lowcountry Foodbank has been in operation for 35 years and has distributed over 28.1 million pounds of food to the ten coastal counties of SC. With 1 out of 5 children being food insecure, Bintelli Powersports hopes to bring more food to those in need.
