Big Brothers Big Sisters of Carolina Youth Development Center is excited to announce the details for their annual bowling tournament, Bowl For Kids Sake 2018. The bowling tournament will be held on August 11th at the Charleston Rifle Club. The event will run from 10:00am – 5:00pm with bowling slots available at 10:00am, 12:30pm and 3:00pm.
The charity welcomes all businesses and organizations to participate and sponsor this event. Bowl For Kids Sake 2018 is a signature fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters and is increasing in popularity each year. Lane sponsorships start at $500 and include a 6 member team (including shoes), food and beer tickets, event t-shirt for each player and an event trophy for each team. This is a wonderful way for your co-workers to have fun together while supporting the youth in our community.
Last year’s tournament raised more than $20,000 which enables Big Brothers Big Sisters to support existing matches and recruit new mentors to serve the more than 200 children on the current waiting list. With the help of a network of donors, partners, family members and advocates, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Carolina Youth Development Center carefully matches at-risk youths with caring, adult role models. Research proves that children enrolled in Big Brothers Big Sisters programs are more likely to improve in school and in their relationships with family and friends, and less likely to skip school or use illegal drugs or alcohol. Big Brothers Big Sisters receives no government funding and rely on the generosity of donors to sustain their professionally supported one-to-one mentoring matches.
