Charleston Based ATLATL Prepares for Market Expansion With New Leadership

Chief Growth Officer Justin Scott Appointed Chief Executive Officer

Charleston, SC (April 6, 2020) - ATLATL Software, the leading provider of visual configuration software, today named Chief Growth Officer Justin Scott as Chief Executive Officer. Current CEO Marc Murphy has stepped down as ATLATL shifts its focus to new growth opportunities. Murphy served as CEO since July 2016.

“It has been my pleasure to lead ATLATL Software over the past three and a half years,” said exiting CEO Marc Murphy. “I am pleased to hand over the reins to Justin Scott. Justin did a terrific job as Chief Growth Officer, and I cannot think of a person better suited to lead the company going forward.”

This change in leadership comes as ATLATL is poised to enter a new phase of growth. ATLATL provides industry-leading visualization configuration software solutions that help companies maximize marketing and sales. Visual configuration software provides manufacturers’ marketers and sales teams with virtual 3D models for custom-configured products. Potential customers can select features and specifications to see those changes displayed in real-time. ATLATL is expanding its solutions to address the needs of larger customers, which have increasingly more complex and custom product configurations.

“In the lifecycle of a company, there are opportunities to build new products, reach newer markets, and new heights,” said CEO, Justin Scott. “I am humbled by the Board’s trust and excited for the opportunity to lead this extraordinary team and build on Marc’s great success.

A tech industry veteran, Scott has spent more than 17 years building startups in a variety of different industries. Prior to joining ATLATL, Scott became Senior Vice President of Revenue for FiscalNote in 2015, where he drove initial product development and scaled revenue to just under $10MM ARR in less than two years. In 2013 he became VP of Brand Strategy at Tumblr.

Scott was crucial in developing the revenue strategy, including the creation of the content network Creatrs. Tumblr was sold to Yahoo for over $1B. He joined Zillow in 2006 and held a variety of leadership positions in the marketplaces and media group through a successful IPO in 2011, where he was Vice President of Sales. While at Zillow, he was instrumental in helping develop and taking to market revenue products that now generate $1B in revenue annually.

”We were fortunate to have Marc at the helm at a critical time in ATLATL’s development, and we appreciate his hard work and dedication to the company,” ATLATL’s Board of Directors said in a statement. “We are excited about Justin stepping up to become our CEO as ATLATL broadens its target markets and expands its product offering. Fully exploiting these additional opportunities will require hard work, focus, and discipline. Justin’s long and successful track record of sales and marketing leadership, new product introductions, and rapid growth give us great confidence in his ability to lead ATLATL through its next phase of growth and development.”
