Four Endorsed Candidates Win Charleston School Board Race.
Voters elect candidates committed to ensuring every child has a great public school, no matter their zip code.
Charleston, SC – Yesterday, Charleston County voters turned out in record number to elect all four School Board candidates endorsed by the Charleston Coalition For Kids. The organization congratulates Kate Darby, Joyce Green, Eric Mack, and Cindy Bohn Coats on their winning campaigns. Each of the 11 candidates for School Board offered unique ideas and experience, and Coalition For Kids commends them on their thoughtful campaigns and willingness to run.
“Charleston Coalition for Kids supported four candidates we believe will urgently focus on ensuring every child has a quality public school, no matter their zip code. The School Board has a mandate to ensure our schools are equipping students with the skills to succeed in a rapidly changing economy. We will advocate for innovative ideas and proven policies so that more students achieve their potential,” said Executive Director Josh Bell.
In addition to being endorsed by Charleston Coalition For Kids, the winning candidates were endorsed by the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce and the Post & Courier Editorial Board.
