Charleston FRIENDS of the Library Spotlights Local Authors

Charleston FRIENDS of the Library (CFOL) is hosting a local author event with two panel discussions followed by a meet and greet book signing featuring a diverse group of local Charleston authors. Support CFOL and local authors by attending this event on Saturday, September 16 at the Wando Library located at 1400 Carolina Park Blvd., Mount Pleasant. All ticket proceeds will benefit CFOL fundraising for Charleston County Public Library (CCPL) programming.

This event will have two moderated panel discussions with local authors representing a range of genres. Each panel will be followed by an opportunity for attendees to meet the authors and purchase their books.

Morning Session – 10:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.: Emma Woodham (Romance), Dr. Roger Newman (Medical Thriller), Brian Livingston (Adventure), and Timothy Banks (Children's Author/Illustrator)

Afternoon Session – 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.: Paul Attaway (Drama/Murder Mystery), Rhonda McKnight ( Inspirational Romance), Kimberly Perry (Children's), and Susan Beckham Zurenda (Fiction/Short Fiction)

When local author Brian Livingston was asked why he’s looking forward to participating he said, “I’m very excited to meet and discuss craft with the other Charleston artists, meet fans, and support a wonderful organization like CFOL. I’m very grateful to be included in the panel.”

Tickets are $25 for the general public and $15 for CFOL Members. Each session requires a separate ticket and light refreshments will be provided. To purchase tickets and to find out how to become a member go to https://www.charlestonlibraryfriends.org.
