Charleston Hospitality Group Kicks Off “Mint Julian” Drink Campaign
Specialty Drink To Benefit the Hollings Cancer Center at MUSC in Honor of Julian Smith
November 28, 2018 – Mount Pleasant, SC – Charleston Hospitality Group (CHG) has announced that in honor of good friend Julian Smith, executive director of the Cooper River Bridge Run, all CHG restaurants will offer a signature drink – the “Mint Julian” – for a limited time, with $10 from each drink benefiting the Hollings Cancer Center at MUSC in Julian Smith’s name.
While Giving Tuesday has now passed, the spirit of giving should continue. By purchasing a $20 “Mint Julian” made with the traditional Mint Julep ingredients including Maker’s Mark, simple syrup and mint leaves, customers will simultaneously be giving $10 to Glioblastoma research.
Smith, who was diagnosed with Glioblastoma in May 2018, is asking Charleston residents – “If you’re going to drink, why not drink for a cause?”
Drinks may be purchased for a limited time at all CHG restaurants including Tabbuli and Queology (Charleston), Toast (Charleston, Summerville, West Ashley and Mount Pleasant), Eli’s Table (Charleston) and HonkyTonk Saloon (Ladson).
