Charleston’s Inaugural Dog Costume Contest- Sunday, Oct. 9

Wag O Ween Charleston

Charleston’s inaugural Halloween dog costume contest, WagOWeen, invites guests to Trick-or-Treat along King Street with your furry friend on Sunday, Oct. 9 from 1-5 p.m., in conjunction with 2nd Sunday.

Local celebrity judges will award drool-worthy prizes for the most creative and fun costumes.

A $20 tax deductible donation gains you admission with your dog, including a Trick-or-Treat pass, doggie swag bag and contestant number for the costume contest.

All proceeds benefit The LENS Foundation’s support of their K-9 unit, which plays a pivotal role in de-escalating violence, preventing loss of life and enabling peaceful police outcomes through area sweeps for narcotics, locating crime suspects and more.

Check-in is from 1-2 p.m. between King and Society Streets, and judging begins at 2 p.m. at The Charleston Place.
