Clawson and Staubes attorneys earn Super Lawyer recognition

CHARLESTON, SC — Three attorneys at Clawson and Staubes, LLC, have earned the recognition of Super Lawyer for 2017, and five attorneys from the firm were named Rising Stars. These rankings, compiled by rating service Super Lawyers and published in Super Lawyers magazine, offer distinction for outstanding lawyers in more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high level of peer recognition and professional achievement.

Sam Clawson, Matthew Story and Jay McDonald, attorneys in the Charleston office, each earned a spot on the 2017 Super Lawyers of South Carolina list. Christy Fargnoli, Sam Clawson, Jr., Trevor Cangelosi and Penn Ely of the Charleston office, as well as Robb Brown of the Columbia office, were named to the 2017 Super Lawyers of South Carolina 'Rising Stars' list.

“It is an honor to be recognized by Super Lawyers, and have my colleagues recognized, for the work we’ve done on behalf of this firm,” says attorney and award recipient, Matthew Story. “To have several Clawson and Staubes attorneys represented on both lists demonstrates our firm’s commitment to building a talented team and providing the highest quality work for our clients.”

Each year, Super Lawyers recognizes the top lawyers in South Carolina by conducting a selection process that includes peer nomination, independent research and peer evaluation. To be eligible for selection as a Rising Star, a candidate must be under the age of 40, or have practiced law for less than 10 years. Only the top 5 percent of attorneys reviewed are selected to the list of Super Lawyers, and only the top 2.5 percent nominated are selected to the list of Rising Stars.
