Laura Rittenberg, president of Coldwell Banker Realty in the Carolinas, is pleased to announce that more than $135,000 was presented to local and national organizations on behalf of the company’s charitable arm, Coldwell Banker Realty Cares Foundation.
During the year, offices in the Charlotte, N.C., Charleston, S.C. and Columbia, S.C. regions held golf tournaments and other events to raise funds. Highlights included:
• Charlotte, N.C.:
o Both the Ballantyne and Lake Norman offices sponsored golf tournaments which resulted in a total of more than $56,000 to benefit the American Cancer Society for breast cancer awareness.
o Additionally, the offices held a clothing drive, pet supply drive, bake sale, food bank donation drive and blood drive, resulting in more than $5,000 to benefit local charitable organizations.
• Charleston, S.C.:
o All offices in the Charleston area held a joint golf tournament which resulted in more than $65,000 to benefit the American Cancer Society for breast cancer awareness.
o Additionally, the offices held blood drives during the year and sponsored local families with full Thanksgiving meals.
• Columbia, S.C.:
o The Lexington office held a virtual auction to benefit Leeza’s Care Connection. Columbia offices also held a toy drive, food bank donation drive, school supply drive and several blood drives throughout the year. In total, more than $9,000 was raised to benefit local organizations.
“We are very grateful to the sponsors, affiliated agents and staff who supported our various events throughout the year, which in turn allowed us to provide more than $135,000 to the American Cancer Society and other local charities,” said Rittenberg.
