Colliers International expands Charleston office with addition of Kristie Roe as Brokerage Associate

Specialist in office properties joins Market President Jim Garrett.
Charleston, SC, November 20, 2018 – Colliers International is pleased to announce that Kristie Roe has re-joined the commercial real estate enterprise as a Brokerage Associate in Charleston. Roe specializes in the leasing and sale of office properties and investment sales.

“We are delighted that Kristie has once again become a valuable member of our brokerage team in Charleston. She is the type of professional who embodies our culture and will do an outstanding job representing our office clients,” said Jim Garrett, MCR, Market President in Charleston. “Her expertise in the Charleston office market makes her an invaluable asset to our firm, especially with the limited office vacancies and increased interest from investors in the Charleston market. Her previous experience with our Colliers enterprise and platform of services gives her an edge that will serve our clients well.”

Roe has an extensive career in commercial real estate. During her 20 years in the business, she became the first woman in Charleston and the third woman in South Carolina to achieve the dual designations of SIOR and CCIM. She has also held multiple leadership positions in regional industry organizations, including the Charleston Trident Association of REALTORS® (CTAR), where she served the MLS Board, the Board of the Commercial Investment Division (CID) and as the CID President. Roe initially joined Colliers International in the fall of 2011 but left for several years to run her family’s business, Swofford, Inc., which includes a portfolio of businesses as well as commercial and residential real estate properties in North and South Carolina. She returns now as part of the firm’s expansion in the Charleston market.

Those expansion efforts are spearheaded by Garrett, who joined Colliers International | South Carolina as the Market President in Charleston after eight years with Colliers International in Columbus, Ohio, where his creative leadership, business development, and community and economic development efforts contributed to the growth and success of the Columbus office.

“Kristie’s expertise and experience make her an ideal fit for Colliers in Charleston” added Garrett. “There is a lot to be excited about in the Charleston region, and I look forward to collaborating with Kristie and the rest of the Colliers enterprise in helping our clients take full advantage of these unique market conditions.”
