Cooper River Bridge Run Hosts First Ever Doggie Fashion Show Featuring MC Patricia Altschul From Southern Charm

Adoptable dogs from Pet Helpers and other dogs will take the runway in NYC pet fashion at the Bridge Run Press Luncheon and at the Kids Run & Wonderfest

CHARLESTON, SC – March 15, 2017: Julian Smith, Executive Race Director of the Cooper River Bridge Run (CRBR), is pleased to announce that the race will host its first ever Doggie Fashion Show featuring adoptable dogs from Pet Helpers and other dogs in fashions from renowned New York City pet designer Ava Nieves and Margaret Konecky with The Elegant Hare. Dana Humphrey, also known as The Pet Lady, is a nationally known pet enthusiast and is excited to bring this Doggie Fashion Show experience to the Bridge Run.

There will be two Doggie Fashion Shows during Bridge Run Events. The first show will take place at the Bridge Run Press Luncheon, a private event held on Friday, March 31st at noon at the Charleston Area Convention Center. Later that day, the Doggie Fashion Show will move to the main stage at the Kids Run & Wonderfest, held at Hampton Park, at 2:30pm on Friday, March 31st. A total of 12 dogs will walk the runway in their over-the-top, bedazzled outfits. Six adoptable dogs from Pet Helpers (a benefitting Bridge Run charity) will walk the runway, along with six other local dogs with their owners.  Charleston’s ultimate dog lover and Southern Charm star, Patricia Altschul and her dog will emcee each fashion show.

The doggie fashions adorning the runway are designed by renowned designers Ada Nieves and The Elegant Hare. Nieves is a Certified Pet Fashion Designer by The Fashion Institute and Technology of NYC, Co-chair and Creative Director for the New York Pet Fashion Show, and has been featured as a Pet Stylist on TV programs like The David Letterman Show, Anderson Cooper 360, The Martha Stewart Show, From Underdog to Wonderdog, E!
