CHARLESTON S.C. – Lowcountry Food Bank (LCFB) announced today that Denise Hines has joined the organization as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This critical role directs the financial and accounting practices of LCFB. These practices include accounting, strategic budgeting, audit activities, regulatory compliance, grant financial activity, banking, payroll, benefits, IT, risk mitigation, and serves as the primary contact with the LCFB Board of Directors Treasurer. The CFO is an active member of the LCFB leadership team and reports to the Chief Executive Officer.

Hines has more than 15 years of expertise in finance and operations. She formerly served as CFO and Director of Finance for The ARC of Greater Prince William/Insight, Inc., a non-profit organization that supports individuals with developmental disabilities, and served as CFO for Washington State PTA.

She is currently working toward a Master of Science degree in Finance/Financial Management. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Taylor University in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Hines is a member of Sigma Beta Delta International Honor Society.

The Lowcountry Food Bank serves the 10 coastal counties of South Carolina and distributed more than 40 million pounds of food in 2021. The Lowcountry Food Bank helps fight hunger by distributing food to more than 250 partner agencies including on-site meal programs, homeless shelters and emergency food pantries.
