Dr. Rose Delores Gibbs joins forces with Fetter Health Care Network
Moncks Corner, SC - Dr. Rose Delores Gibbs, the lead provider of the Berkeley Medical Center in Moncks Corner, recently announced that she is joining forces with Fetter Health Care Network, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).
Starting Monday, July 23, Dr. Gibbs will be an official Fetter Health Care Network provider and the patients at Berkeley Medical Center will have access to Fetter Health Care Network's full list of comprehensive services, including the addition of a new provider.
Fetter Health Care Network will be responsible for the management and operations of the practice, while Dr. Gibbs will continue to treat patients.
"I am thrilled to be joining forces with Fetter Health Care Network," said Dr. Gibbs, who has served the Lowcountry for more than 30 years. "The comprehensive health care provided by Fetter's team is exactly what I was looking for to help elevate my practice."
After graduating from Fisk University in Nashville, Tenn., Dr. Gibbs became the first female African American graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina in 1973. She served her residency at Howard University Hospital and completed a fellowship in infectious and tropical diseases.
Dr. Gibbs also served as Chief of Medical Operations for the United States Peace Corps and Director for the Office of International Health at Charles Drew Post Graduate Medical School in Los Angeles, CA. She opened her practice in Moncks Corner in 1986.

To commemorate the transition, there will be a grand opening celebration held at the health center in Moncks Corner on September 19th.
