Everybody Wins When You Shop Where You Live in Mt. Pleasant for the Holidays

The Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce (MPCC) and the Town of Mount Pleasant have again joined forces to encourage residents to support local businesses during the holiday shopping season. This third annual campaign, “Shop Where You Live,” begins on Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, and will continue through the end of 2023.

Buying locally supports the businesses owned and operated by your friends, neighbors and family members and keeps dollars in our local economy. Every other week in December the MPCC will give away a $100 Gift Card to one shopper who posts a photo of their visit to a participating business on Instagram and follows instructions on how to enter. The gift card will be from the business the winner patronized.

“The Town of Mount Pleasant is building on the past year’s success once again to partner with MPCC for the third annual holiday season’s Shop Where You Live campaign,” said Mount Pleasant Mayor Will Haynie. “We have many vibrant local businesses that call Mount Pleasant home, and we encourage everyone to shop locally this holiday season.”

To enter:
-Simply post a photo of your shopping experience at a participating establishment on Instagram or Facebook.
-Tag @mtpchamber, @experiencemp and the participating location.
-Include the hashtag #ShopWhereYouLive

“We encourage our members and community to shop locally for the upcoming holiday season. This continues on with our mission to encourage business and community success East of the Cooper,” remarked MPCC President Jennifer Maxwell.
