Eyemart Express Expands Lowcountry Footprint with Summerville Opening

New Eyemart Express location in Summerville increases accessibility to budget-friendly and same-day glasses in the Lowcountry.

Summerville residents can now see clearly faster thanks to the opening of a second Eyemart Express store in the Lowcountry. Eyemart Express, known for providing quality and affordable glasses with free same-day service thanks to its local lens labs, is celebrating its new Summerville storefront, located at 210 Azalea Square Blvd.

Eyemart Express first made its Lowcountry debut in January with the opening of a store in North Charleston, and the Summerville location marks the optical retailer’s tenth storefront in South Carolina. The new store softly opened on Sept. 26. The company now employs nearly 50 people in the Charleston area, ranging from full- and part-time sales associates to lab technicians and opticians.

“The growing Charleston community embraced our quality and budget-friendly glasses, and now the Summerville community can see faster with our free same-day service,” says Melissa Bryant, local Eyemart Express store manager. “Our stores are an easy and convenient choice for shoppers who need corrective eyewear.”

The optical retailer carries more than 2,000 frames at affordable prices from brands like Ray-Ban, Versace, and Coach. Eyemart Express also has a large selection of kid’s glasses, including frames from Jonas Paul, Paw Patrol, and My Little Pony. Shoppers can get free frames for glasses or sunglasses valued up to $100 with the purchase of lenses through Oct. 29. All specs come with a free one-year warranty, providing shoppers with additional value.

Eyemart Express focuses on community giving, and offers everyday discounts for additional savings to veterans, military families, first responders, health care workers, teachers, and school staff members.

Summerville shoppers can make an appointment to get an eye exam from the independent Doctor of Optometry next door to the store or they can bring in an existing prescription from their eye doctor.

Eyemart Express is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The optical retailer is closed on Sunday.
