Fetter Health Care Network continues offering Rapid COVID-19 testing clinics to start New Year

COVID testingCharleston, SC – As the Lowcountry welcomes in the New Year of 2021, Fetter Health Care Network (Fetter) has announced it will continue to meet the needs of the community through its COVID-19 testing clinics in Charleston and Berkeley Counties. All testing clinic locations will offer both rapid and standard COVID-19 tests. The latest updates to its mobile clinic schedule can be found at FetterCovid19Screening.org/testsites.

“As our state continues to see spikes of positive COVID-19 cases throughout its communities, Lowcountry residents are still in need of accessible and affordable COVID-19 testing,” said Aretha R. Powers (Jones), DHA, MPH, MA, CEO of Fetter. “As a Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC), it is our top priority to provide outreach opportunities to our friends and neighbors in need. We’ll continue offering COVID-19 testing clinics to do our part, as long as we are able.”

Fetter’s testing clinics rotate to different locations throughout the week based on the schedule below. Individuals are simply asked to arrive at their preferred testing clinic location to receive an onsite provider screening and then a COVID-19 test.

“We are hopeful that through offering these testing opportunities, we will help reduce the spread of COVID-19,” said Powers. “We also strongly encourage our community members to wear a face covering, practice social distancing and avoid large gatherings.”

Individuals who have a known exposure to COVID-19 or are experiencing COVID-19 related symptoms can visit FetterCovid19Screening.org for more information. Individuals are asked to employ social distancing and wear a face covering while waiting for testing.

In an effort to streamline patient registration, all patient registration will take place as individuals arrive at the clinic. Fetter offers both walk-up and drive-up testing at its mobile clinics.

Currently, tests are given with no out-of-pocket cost to patients. All insurance providers in South Carolina are covering the cost of COVID-19 testing. Patient insurance information will be processed in order to complete testing. No co-pays or deductibles are being charged. All patients will be served.
