GULLAH GEECHEE CHAMBER ADDS CORONA VIRUS INFORMATION TO WEBSITE
--providing links to reliable resources for individuals, families and small businesses

GEORGETOWN, SC – A Corona Virus COVID-19 informational page has been added to the Gullah Geechee Chamber of Commerce website to provide updates regarding the Corona Virus Pandemic.

“We have direct links to the Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina websites in the Gullah Geechee Corridor and a direct link to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention,” says Marilyn Hemingway, CEO of the Gullah Geechee Chamber of Commerce, “ it is imperative we provide access to as many reliable resources as possible to help individuals, families and businesses have the most up-to-date information.”
As an economic partner within the Gullah community, the Gullah Geechee Chamber understands the importance of sharing reliable information and being a good citizen during these stressful times.

“We are working to be part of the solution,” added Hemingway, “and during this time it will take all of us being prepared and taking the necessary precautions, such as frequent hand-washing, social distancing and staying home if you suspect you may have been exposed to the Corona Virus.”

Small businesses are also encouraged to contact their lending institutions to make arrangements if they are unable to make a loan payment. It is better to be proactive, rather than miss a loan payment. Most financial institutions will work with businesses needing financial relief.

All interested persons are encouraged to visit http://www.gullahgeecheechamber.org/corona-virus-covid-19/ for up-to-date information and other reliable resources.

The Gullah Geechee Chamber of Commerce was founded in 2018 to promote global awareness, profitability and sustainability of African American businesses and other entities supporting the Gullah community.
