Hamby Catering is providing the Lowcountry a new and safe way to celebrate life’s special moments with curated micro-events menus. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, social distancing has made it hard to gather with family and friends for weddings, engagements, the welcoming of new babies and other significant occasions.
Fill the void and celebrate safely alongside family and friends with Hamby Catering’s newly curated micro-events menus, made for intimate gatherings of 10-50 people. The innovative menus focus on safety throughout every aspect of a small gathering. Fully staffed micro-events and disposable glassware are provided to limit the use of shared utensils so that the community can reconnect while limiting the spread of coronavirus.
“For 41+ years, we have been the catering partner for life’s most memorable moments in the Lowcountry,” said Candice Wigfield, President of Hamby Catering. “Since mid-March, we have been pivoting to accommodate cancellations and postponements, all-the-while focusing on safety and finding ways to allow for celebrations with friends and family to continue, although they may look a bit different than originally planned. Our clients have always made us part of their traditions, and with our micro-events, we can fill the void for those who want to celebrate safely and intimately.”
As the celebrations continue, whether an intimate outdoor ceremony or a backyard movie night with friends, Hamby Catering’s micro-events menus add flavor to the festivities. The menus feature classic Hamby favorites, including 6-Hour Red Wine Braised Boneless Short Ribs and Slow-Roasted Carolina Pulled Pork BBQ.
The curated new menus and à la carte options include full on-site catering service, available pricing for micro-events of all small sizes and disposables. Choose from one of three tasty event menu options:

Socially Distanced Short Ribs Soiree - $44/guest

Hamby Catering is also offering desserts and drinks à la carte. Select either classic lemonade ($10/gallon) or tea ($8/gallon), and treat your guests to the chef’s selection of sweets ($3.50/guest).
Stock the bar by adding bar services to the micro-event. Each bar service option includes disposable glassware and premium upgrades are available upon request:

- Premium Beer & Wine Bar - $10.50/guest
- Standard Full Bar - $11.25/guest
- Premium Full Bar - $14.50/guest
Hamby Catering’s micro-events are fully staffed with 1-2 recommended staff members for three hours of service ($275/staff). An attended buffet limits the use of shared utensils, and at least one bartender is required with bar services ($175/bartender).
Customized food menus and pricing is available upon request to personalize the arrangement of a micro-event. All orders include a production fee of 15% and applicable taxes. Hamby Catering also offers standard delivery services for those not in need of a full catering experience ($300 minimum, delivery fees apply).
