Heatworks’ Tetra Countertop Dishwasher Takes Home CES 2019 Best of Innovation Award Ahead of the January Event

Tetra Countertop Dishwasher

Heatworks, the company that is fundamentally redefining and reshaping the way we heat and use water, has been honored with CES 2019’s top award – Best of Innovation – for their reimagined countertop dishwasher, Tetra. After announcing the development of Tetra at CES 2018 where it quickly became one of the most talked about inventions at the show, Heatworks has spent the last 10 months working with top design firms, industry partners and engineers to bring Tetra to life. Now, with less than two months until tech’s biggest event, Heatworks is excited to announce that it will showcase a working Tetra prototype for the first time at CES Unveiled in Las Vegas.

Since launching at CES 2018, Tetra has been dubbed one of the most game-changing appliances for kitchens small or large and a dream come true for apartment dwellers. Consumers and media alike have fallen in love with Tetra’s diverse feature set; faster, eco-friendly cycles; and modular rack system.

“The majority of dishwashers available on the market right now are not designed for how we actually live,” said Heatworks Founder and CEO, Jerry Callahan. “They are too big, take too long to run, and consume significant amounts of water and energy. We wanted to redefine the dishwasher to truly meet those day-to-day needs, while also conserving up to 80% water and energy. Tetra achieves that.”

Tetra is a revolutionary countertop dishwasher that requires no plumbing connections and can be placed and used anywhere with a standard electrical outlet. Even with its small footprint, the dishwasher holds two full place settings (including plates, bowls, cups, and flatware), or can be adjusted to accommodate 10 plates or 12 pint glasses. After a meal, Tetra users can simply load their dishes onto the modular rack system, pour a gallon of water and some detergent into the unit, and turn it on. It takes only minutes to go through the entire wash cycle, and since Tetra is transparent, you can witness the mysterious action right in front of your eyes.

Powered by Heatworks' patented Ohmic Array Technology, Tetra allows for precise temperature control, so cleaning baby bottles and plastic storage containers has never been safer or easier. It’s also the perfect option for stemware like delicate wine glasses. And, since water is used as the heating element, the hot water is purer than water from any other dishwasher available in the industry today, whose heaters produce limescale and sediment. With our advanced all-electric technology, we can instantly change the allocation of the energy budget from all water heating to all water pumping or anywhere in between to maximize efficiency and performance.

Tetra will be on full display for the first time ever at CES Unveiled in Las Vegas on January 6, 2019, as well as in Heatworks' booth #50322 inside Eureka Park from January 8-11, 2019, in Las Vegas' Sands Hotel.
