The Heritage Trust Federal Credit Union Community Outreach Committee recently held an internal fundraiser in honor of Autism Awareness month. Members of the committee coordinated with local businesses First Watch, Ye Ole Fashioned and BJs of Summerville to donate items the committee could use to assist them in raising funds. These items were then specifically put together to create meals that credit union employees could purchase with 100% of the proceeds going directly to a local not-for-profit. Through this initiative, credit union employees were able to raise $1,164 that was donated directly to Walk for Autism – Charleston.
