Instagram Executive to Speak at The Gibbes Museum of Art’s Annual ‘Art of Design’ Luncheon

CHARLESTON, S.C., February 25, 2019 – The Gibbes Museum of Art is pleased to announce Eva Chen, head of fashion partnerships at Instagram, as the featured speaker for the annual Art of Design luncheon on April 12. Since 2011, the Women’s Council has attracted renowned experts in the world of design to the special luncheon and lecture. This year, Chen will discuss her work in the fashion and media industry in the museum’s classically landscaped Lenhardt Garden.

“Known as the Anna Wintour of the Digital Age, we are delighted to host such a special guest at the annual luncheon,” said Angela Mack, The Gibbes Museum of Art’s executive director. “Her iconic style, charm and diverse background is sure to inspire this year’s guests.”

Founded in March 1950, the Women’s Council of the Gibbes Museum of Art serves as a vital support system of the Gibbes Museum of Art, with its dedicated members volunteering time, talent and financial support to the Museum and serving as liaisons between the Gibbes and both residents of and visitors to the Charleston community. The annual Art of Design Luncheon and Lecture features internationally renowned experts in the world of design and is the Women’s Council’s signature event.
