Mount Pleasant Towne Centre will light up with holiday spirit on Saturday, November 17, beginning at 6 pm on Belk Drive.
The evening will include a laser light show, live performances by the East Cooper Baptist Church Orchestra and Choir and the Showstoppers Troupe from Musical Theater Center, giveaways from Towne Centre, the magical lighting of the 40-foot-tall Christmas tree and a visit from jolly old St. Nicholas himself.
Guests can enjoy wine and beer from Burtons Grill and Wine Cellar Wine and Gifts as well as snacks from Napa Mount Pleasant, Qdoba, Dave N Dubs Hot Dogs, Holy City Homemade Italian Ice, Trolly Dolly Treats, King of Pops, Holy City Popcorn, James Brown's Famous Boiled Peanuts and Charleston Caribbean Creole.
Children and families can also enjoy a jump castle, face painting, balloon animals, glitter tattoos. Plus, arts and crafts courtesy of Art-Vark Palette.
“Everyone is invited to celebrate the official kick-off to the holiday season at our 12th annual holiday lighting event,” said Kathi Herrmann, Marketing Director. “Lights Up is a magical evening with an amazing laser light show, live music and of course, the lighting of our spectacular Christmas tree. For the third year now, Towne Centre has partnered with a local charitable organization to host a special fundraiser. This year’s beneficiary will be the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, whose mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Leukemia & Lymphoma Society volunteers will be selling foam glow sticks and blinky rings so all event guests can also Light Up!
Lights Up will be emceed by Y102.5's Brian Cleary who will be giving away prizes from Towne Centre stores, such as Athleta, Burtons Grill, Claire’s, Grimaldi’s Pizzeria, J. Jill. Lizard Thicket Boutique, Soft Surroundings, Southern Tide by M. Dumas & Sons, Stella Nova Spa Salon and more.
