Heatworks, the Mount Pleasant-based company that is fundamentally reshaping the way the world heats and uses water, enjoyed an award-winning week at the largest annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) last week in Las Vegas. The innovators behind the MODEL 3 Water Heater, Tetra Dishwasher and the newly announced Duo Untethered Carafe garnered international attention and multiple awards for their innovative smart home products, design, and clean-water applications.
Heatworks racked up multiple awards during the show, with the Tetra Dishwasher picking up three Editor’s Pick Awards from Mashable, Best Products and Best Reviews, as well as being named the winner of the coveted Best of CES 2019 Innovation Award. Twelve top climate change experts and stakeholders visited the Heatworks booth to learn more about the MODEL 3 as part of the Climate Change Innovator award tour, following MODEL 3 being awarded the CES 2019 Climate Change Innovator Award.
During the show, Heatworks announced it will begin licensing Ohmic Array Technology to other appliance companies and products and plans to begin taking pre-orders for Tetra Dishwasher beginning in Q1 2019. The team also unveiled Duo Carafe, a first-of-its-kind, on the go carafe, that can heat water instantly to (+/-) 1° F as you pour.
Powered and inspired by Heatworks’ Ohmic Array Technology, users can simply add up to 4 cups of cool water to DUO’s glass reservoir, replace the top, and pour. They’ll get filtered cool water out of one spout, precisely heated water out the other one. Think of it...you can make a perfect pour-over coffee, re-set the temp, brew a perfect cup of tea, and then pour yourself a cool glass of water, without refilling or changing the water.
”We went into CES expecting to top the last year’s success, but we were blown away by the overwhelming reception from the press, partners and industry,” said Heatworks Founder and CEO, Jerry Callahan, who was on the ground speaking with customers, partners and media throughout the show. “We knew we had something special in our products, but it’s great to see the industry beginning to view Heatworks as an innovation lab capable of deploying our Ohmic Array Technology in ground-breaking new ways to fundamentally change the way the world heats and uses water.”
