(Charleston, SC)—Charleston March of Dimes is pleased to announce the honoree for the highly coveted Real Estate Award. This annual event recognizes a member or organization of the real estate & economic development community who has shown outstanding leadership, vision, and a long history of service to the community. The event is a dynamic celebration with networking, speeches, and a compelling appeal to support the mission of the March of Dimes. Over the last 24years, more than $1 million has been raised for March of Dimes’ mission to fight for the health of all moms and babies.
This year’s honoree is Woodfield Development.
A committee from the commercial real estate industry selected Woodfield to be recognized for their achievements and efforts in Charleston. This team also chose nominees for two new awards, Rising Star Award and Development of the Year Award. Current and past event attendees will have a chance to cast their vote, and the winners will be announced during the program.
The Charleston Real Estate Award will be held on Friday, December 10th at the College Center at Trident Technical College. Coffee and networking will begin at 7:30 A.M. with the program and breakfast beginning at 8:00 A.M. The event will raise critical funds in support of March of Dimes. Mike Schwarz is the event volunteer leader for Woodfield Development, along with an executive leadership team from the commercial real estate community. “We are proud and honored to be this year’s recipient of the Real Estate and Economic Development Award. March of Dimes does so much for our community through their advocacy, education and research,” said Schwarz.
Each year in the U.S., 1 woman dies every 12 hours from pregnancy-related causes, and 1 in 10 babies is born too soon. Together with their supporters, March of Dimes is working to level the playing field so that all parents, babies and their families are healthy and strong.
In addition to Signature Sponsor Woodfield Development, the Real Estate Award event is supported by Platinum Sponsor CF Evans Construction, Silver Sponsors The Beach Company, Pinnacle Financial Partners, SeamonWhiteside, and TD Bank, Bronze Sponsors Atlantic South Development, Bridge Commercial, First National Bank of PA, Housing Studio, Morrison Yard, Origin Development Partners, LLC, The Port House, and The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company, several Corporate Sponsors and Media Sponsor The Post and Courier.
