Trident Academy is proud to announce that Kyle Brown has received the Professional Achievement Award given annually by the National Business Officers Association (NBOA) to recognize those who have made invaluable, significant, and lasting contributions to the operations or financial health of their schools.

As Trident's Director of Educational Technology, Kyle Brown's presence, professionalism, compassion, and work ethic are invaluable. Kyle came to Trident Academy as a consultant, helping the faculty learn and integrate Google Classroom and the RenWeb student information system, both of which were new to the school. After a year of consulting, he came on board full-time, teaching Latin and technology classes and researching and implementing educational technology that Trident's students with learning differences would need.

Notably, during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, Mr. Brown single-handedly moved Trident's technologically challenged faculty into online instruction with step-by-step instructions, self-produced videos, and lots of one-on-one virtual hand-holding. He worked weekends and holidays so that the teachers, students, and parents would have trouble-free classes each day. He worked with Trident's specialized reading teachers to help them create classes that would continue the multi-sensory instruction that is critical to the education of students with learning differences. Trident Academy is exceptionally proud that NBOA has decided to present this award to Kyle Brown.

NBOA represents nearly 1,400 independent schools in the United States and more than 100 worldwide. It is the only national membership organization committed to developing, delivering, and promoting best business practices to advance independent schools.
