JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. - The U.S. Navy's Blue Angels premier aerial demonstration team is scheduled to perform in the Lowcountry in 2020.
The Blue Angels released their show schedule Dec. 4, 2018. The schedule includes a performance at the Joint Base Charleston's Air & Space Expo, April 18-19, 2020.
The Blue Angels' performance will be the headline performance of the two-day event, free and open to the general public as a joint venture of the community and JB Charleston.
The Blue Angels are based out of Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida and have been performing since 1946. Their mission is to showcase the pride and professionalism of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps by inspiring a culture of excellence and service to country through flight demonstrations and community outreach.
"It's always a pleasure getting to highlight our mission and showcase our service members to our supportive Charleston community." said Col. Terrence Adams, JB Charleston commander. "We can't wait to make this air expo the best one yet and have an opportunity to personally thank the local community."
