Summerville, S.C. – Nexton, the most innovative and walkable community in South Carolina, announced plans for Dayfield Park, a new commercial property featuring office space and residential options, as well as retail and service providers. Thoughtfully designed to provide employee-centric amenities and conveniences, Dayfield Park caters to Nexton’s growing number of employers and residents and further expands the community’s robust offerings.
Spanning approximately 60 acres with connectivity from Nexton’s Brighton Park neighborhood, the first phase of Dayfield Park will combine approximately 100,000 square feet of commercial office and 20,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space throughout five single-story buildings with additional outparcels. The total project will include three phases, each with five buildings. The project is expected to bring approximately 500 new jobs to the community.
Adjacent to the office core will be services and amenities that seek to fill the needs of modern-day employees beyond traditional office hours. These plans include The Goddard School daycare, HYLO Fitness for lunch-break workout sessions, and Go Dog, a pet daycare, boarding and grooming facility also featuring a bar.
“At Nexton, we strive to think one step beyond what is needed to deliver amenities that will improve the daily lives of our residents and employees,” said Brent Gibadlo, vice president and general manager of Nexton. “Dayfield Park will provide an immersive community experience while eliminating or improving the daily commute to the office.”
Dayfield Park will be adjacent to a condominium and townhome community by Stanley Martin Homes, providing a new housing option that is walkable to the existing and new office spaces.
“The emergence of Nexton as a destination job center is highlighted by the precise attention to the needs of employees,” said Daniel Pellegrino, senior vice president of Bridge Commercial. “Dayfield Park is the first of its kind in the Charleston market to focus on the complete workday beyond the hours of nine to five, further cementing Nexton’s position as the metro region’s third major employment center.”
Groundbreaking will take place in summer 2023 with expected completion in 2026. Bridge Commercial will oversee the leasing at Dayfield Park. Rush Dixon Architects and Bello Garris Architects provided architectural services, while SeamonWhiteside provided engineering services.
